Most recent projects: I just recently finished the first draft of my first book EVER, a YA Fantasy that I've been working on the past ten months. In it, a young acolyte from a secluded monastery dreams of life outside her average existence--and that dream is granted when she's violently killed and brought back to life to save the world. I'm excited to start editing!

I also just recently started a new project, in preparation for Nanowrimo next month. (No writing yet--that would be cheating!) In this NA Paranormal story, main character Thea returns home to the west coast on the
coattails of a college scandal. But what she finds there, including a long-gone sister, a mysterious stranger, and the truth about her absent parents, is going to blow that problem out of the water. Literally.

Yarny is a great tool. I love that it automatically saves everything,
because I'm the kind of person who can get so absorbed in my writing that I forget to do it myself. In the past that's led to a LOT of tears, but Yarny's got me covered. That's not even counting the convenient way it lets me organize things! When it comes to keeping my notes in line, I can get KIND of neurotic. Not to mention the fact that you can save your WHOLE PROJECT onto your computer or USB, in case you're the paranoid type. Just
export that puppy, and voila! Multiple copies of your brain-child, for any emergency.

But I'll let you in on a secret--probably my FAVORITE thing on Yarny? The fun typewriter noise you can turn on when you subscribe!
(I'm so easily amused.)

I discovered Yarny when it started up, via Nanowrimo, and I'm so glad that I did. It's a cheap tool (I mean, how much cheaper can you get than FREE?) that does exactly what I need it to do. Being a writer, or trying to be one, is hard work. Yarny takes some of that work out, so I have more time to do what I need to do... Which is get those words down on the screen!

Thank you, Yarny, for being my partner in crime. <3 I'll mention you in my famous-writer speech!
